EMPOWER together with
SUARAM, Amnesty International Malaysia, UndiMsia! and Women's Aid Organisation
are launching a Twitter campaign on internet rights under the hashtag
#InternetKita, from 5th to 10th December 2015, in conjunction with Human Rights
Day and the 16 Days of Activism.
This campaign aims to
increase understanding and create conversations on our rights online; focusing
on issues related to freedom of expression, information, assembly and
association, rights to privacy and technology-related violence against women.
Each organisation will tweet on a specific day during the campaign from their
respective Twitter account.
How You Can Get
Involved
1. Please share
information on #InternetKita as widely as you can.
2. Follow us on Twitter
at @empowermalaysia as well as the other organisations taking part -- we'll be
tweeting on the campaign as it progresses.
3. Talk with us! The
more the merrier. Please join in the #InternetKita conversations, retweet,
comment; and you don't need to be part of an organisation.
